Welcome to Future Me. This Privacy Policy explains how Future Me collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you use the application. Future Me is a personal finance tracking and planning application designed to help users organize their financial information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Data Controller

Future Me is operated by an individual developer established in Poland (European Union). Contact: futuremesystem@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Account information, including your email address and authentication information managed through Supabase.
  • Profile preferences, including currency, theme and application preferences.
  • Financial information you voluntarily enter, including accounts, balances, transactions, budgets, goals, debts and categories.
  • Technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, timestamps and application logs necessary for security and operation.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your information to:

  • provide and maintain the Service;
  • authenticate your account;
  • synchronize and securely store your data;
  • improve reliability and security;
  • respond to support requests;
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, processing is based on:

  • performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b));
  • legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention (Art. 6(1)(f));
  • compliance with legal obligations where required (Art. 6(1)(c));
  • consent where legally required.

5. Data Processors

Future Me currently uses:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.

Additional processors may be added as the Service evolves. This policy will be updated accordingly.

6. International Transfers

Where service providers process data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms will be used where required.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data while your account remains active or as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. When your account is deleted, personal data will be removed or anonymized within a reasonable period unless retention is legally required.

8. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • access your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • export your data;
  • request deletion of your account and associated personal data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Security

Future Me uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authentication, database access controls, row-level security, and infrastructure provided by trusted service providers. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

Future Me is not intended for children under the age of 16 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available within the application or on the website. Material changes may be communicated through the Service.
